Sobriety

Five months sober today.
150 days without alcohol.
I hasn't been easy and yet has not been as difficult as I thought it would be.
I have to laugh at myself because I am contemplating having some champagne at New Year's. That is just over two months away and I'm making the decision whether I will consume alcohol or not. It seems a bit silly when I talk about it.

I feel better both emotionally and physically. It is nice.

It has been challenging to not come home and have a drink after a "hard" day or a drink to celebrate something. My lovely husband and friends and family have been amazing though. They won't let me get a way with trying to do that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such supportive people around me.
I don't think this stretch of sobriety would have been possible three years ago but it is possible now.

Now to just get this pesky rotator cuff and biceps issue squared away...

Here we go... again...

I have missed blogging.
I've had a lot of crazy things happen over the last year and I have found myself unable to keep up a blog.
Sure, I've got the Twitters, the Facebooks and the G+ but none of that seems to compare to a good ole blog.

So, here we go again. Starting up a blog. Again. Heh. *sigh*

I'll try to keep it entertaining and hopefully there won't be many tearful blog rants. Can't make any promises though. ^_^
