Sobriety

Five months sober today.
150 days without alcohol.
I hasn't been easy and yet has not been as difficult as I thought it would be.
I have to laugh at myself because I am contemplating having some champagne at New Year's. That is just over two months away and I'm making the decision whether I will consume alcohol or not. It seems a bit silly when I talk about it.

I feel better both emotionally and physically. It is nice.

It has been challenging to not come home and have a drink after a "hard" day or a drink to celebrate something. My lovely husband and friends and family have been amazing though. They won't let me get a way with trying to do that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have such supportive people around me.
I don't think this stretch of sobriety would have been possible three years ago but it is possible now.

Now to just get this pesky rotator cuff and biceps issue squared away...
